"This is intended to emphasize the principles to be applied in managing general surgery patients. For a student who is in a rush to prepare for a particular case or problem, this is a good way to become knowledgeable quickly. It follows the medical student objective format as put forth by the boards and accreditation agency, using problem-based cases which tie together symptoms and signs with a disease.
